Business Law is an interesting and fun subject. We will learn most of the necessary substantive areas of law involved in operating a business and gain some practical entrepreneurial skills involved in deciding the appropriate forms of business entities, registering trade names and trade marks, finding a suitable location and complying with government paper work. We try to involve some role playing to explore our own thoughts of the ethics and morality involved in business and determine how they interact with the profit motive. The course will be taught during the Fall Session 2008. One class (13404) meets Tuesday and Thursday from 1605 until 1720 at the Desert Vista campus in B-132. The other class (14706) meets Monday and Wednesday at the Northwest Campus from 1440 until 1555 in A-211. A specialized type of Business Law is Hospitality Law. It is taught at the Northwest Campus in conjunction with Northern Arizona University. This course not meets on Monday from 1610 until 1850 in A-322.
